I love old, rusted metal textures. I found some beautiful pieces while in Ireland. The rain rusts everything quickly compared to our dry climate at home. I was inspired to demonstrate to the students in Ireland how to use acrylic mediums and color to create textures. I added the gold leaf when I finished the piece in my Santa Fe studio.
