Softly Singing

There are so many ways to move paint. Traditionally brushes and palette knives are used. I am always intrigued with the dance between the paint and the surface. I use Ampersand panels because their prepared surfaces hold the paint so well that it allows me to explore alternative painting tools. I have used fibers to move very viscous paint in this piece. The fibers are removed just before the paint is dry. I have added gold leaf and pastes for texture. All of this on an 8x10 panel that is framed in a black wood floater frame.
