Lights of Lucca

I love painting in Tuscany and one of my favorite destinations is Lucca. It is an old walled Medieval city. The walls are wide enough to have bike paths and parks on top of them. Walking along the walls on a rainy night I saw this glass doorway of a villa that was illuminated by a beautiful chandelier. The photo I took became an image transfer incorporated into an acrylic painting. There is fabric and texture added into the painting.
