The Leaning Ladder of Kiva

My surroundings here in northern New Mexico provide endless inspiration from the crystal blue skies, the textured earth, aspen trees, adobe architecture and the starlit night skies. The other constant I have for inspiration is my curiosity for textures and the materials to create them. This piece came about from an exploration of all those possibilities. The ladder was constructed from fallen branches of my aspen tree and the deep texture was made with a wild combination of materials. The making of this piece can be seen in an upcoming episode on my YouTube channel and it is available.
