Copper Waves

Art and Chemistry are my two first passions, and I have always blended the two in my work. This piece was the second in an experimental process using fabric, copper, and crackle pastes and glazes. The fabric is delicate and takes shape on the panel, then it is sealed with acrylics and hardeners. A copper reactive paint and patinas add the next element and the piece is finished with crackle pastes and glazes. I am having a great time returning to my experimental roots.
