Mystic Valley 48x60

I have spent the past year hiking wilderness trails from the South Island of New Zealand, Tuscany, Ireland and the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The various landscapes and mythologies have all come together in this textured and multilayered piece. I created land based temporary art installations on some destinations and the memory of them are carried into this painting. Music plays a part in my work due to my synesthesia, where songs and sounds translate into color and composition.
