Earth and Sky

Inspiration from nature and materials guided me in this painting. Opposing Earth elements harmonize within this mixed media canvas. The inclusion of fabric and handmade paper enhances the composition, while gold leaf drapes across the painted surface. Deep textures reminiscent of rocky trails echo my hikes beneath the brilliant turquoise sky of the Sangre de Cristo mountains in northern New Mexico—a place that holds my heart.
