Islands

I began this painting based on another painting I had recently sold. The original inspiration quickly morphs as the new painting speaks to me and we begin a conversation. I am still processing many of the travels to oceans and rivers this year and finding more blue in my work. The materials I use inform my textures and compositions. You will see a large island that is a gold-leafed oasis. I went back and changed the painting again. You can see the original piece in the third image before I added more islands to the work. This piece is framed and ready to hang.
