The Code to the Hill

Mixed Media on Panel, Framed 14" x 14" x 1" Available
$600.00 USD

Pajarito, which means little bird, is a mesa in the Jemez Mountains outside Santa Fe, NM. It is sacred land to the Indigenous People from there, but it is also home to Los Alamos which is now widely known from the film Oppenheimer. The lab is a secure nuclear site that requires clearance to gain access. People that work there say they work on the hill. So, the number codes combined with the colorful beauty of the land bring the story of this painting together.
