Winter Solstice

The winter solstice is my favorite day of the year. When the snow is on the ground it makes walking beneath the aspen trees silent. I can be of the Earth and beyond it at the same time. The sun is low and shines its light like a beacon announcing the coming of longer days. This piece conveys peace and hope and it is made from several layers of cast acrylic painted on both sides and fused together with resin. You will feel like you can enter into the forest.
